Infant Care Program

Our AIIC Program

The foundations of language acquisition begin before birth and in infancy. That’s why at LIPP Schools, we believe in giving children meaningful exposure to language from the very beginning.

Our Ambient Immersion Infant Care (AIIC) approach gently surrounds babies with three languages starting at three months old. Through everyday interactions, songs, routines, and emotional communication, infants naturally begin to recognize the sounds and rhythms of French, Spanish, and Mandarin.

As children grow, this early exposure helps them transition smoothly into our structured preschool program. By 18 months, most children are ready to enter a classroom setting where their early language foundation supports learning and long-term development.

Why AIIC?

LIPP Schools’ proprietary AIIC program is the first of its kind. AIIC swaddles infants (ages 3 through 12 months) in trilingual immersion care. From the moment they arrive, babies experience their day through comforting interactions in all three languages as they are fed, soothed, sung to, and cared for.

As children grow, this early foundation makes their next steps feel natural. Once toddlers reach 18 months, they transition into a structured classroom environment where they join a single- or dual-language track program.

We find that LIPP students who start their immersion journey with us in AIIC progress to our preschool program with ease. By the time they arrive, they are already attuned to the sounds, rhythms, and patterns of foreign languages. The skills they gain support smoother communication, better focus, and stronger social development. Likewise, outgoing Kindergarten-bound LIPP students adapt more smoothly, both academically and socially, than peers who have not experienced the benefits of language immersion.

How Infants Learn Languages and Why It Matters

Babies are born ready to learn language. In fact, the first year of life is when their brains are most sensitive to the sounds, rhythms, and patterns of speech. During this time, infants naturally absorb whatever languages they hear around them long before they can talk.

In a gentle, nurturing environment like AIIC, daily exposure to French, Spanish, and Mandarin helps infants:

  • Recognize different tones and sound patterns
  • Build early listening and memory skills
  • Strengthen cognitive flexibility and problem-solving
  • Develop social and emotional connections through communication

This early foundation matters. Research shows that children who hear multiple languages from infancy often adapt more easily to new learning environments, show stronger attention skills, and feel more comfortable communicating as they grow. By the time they enter our toddler or preschool program, AIIC infants already have the building blocks for multilingual learning.

Early immersion does not overwhelm babies. It simply meets them where they are most ready to learn. Because AIIC is aligned with our preschool and Kinder-Prep programs, children move through each stage with no challenges. Families can trust a seamless immersion journey that builds curiosity, comfort, and strong communication from the start.
